what you’re saying is that you think, somehow, that in order to enjoy “that type of stuff” you need to be a certain type of person, a type of person with various social stigmas attached that you don’t want to be associated with. and what i’m saying is that those social stigmas are bullshit, and any type of person can enjoy ANY TYPE OF THING and it doesn’t need to define who you are and you don’t need to feel bad about enjoying whatever you enjoy, so long as you aren’t hurting anyone in the process, and you definitely don’t need to make anyone else feel bad about what THEY enjoy so long as they aren’t hurting anyone either

so go ahead and enjoy 50 shades. my sister’s reading it now; as a long-time enjoyer of twilight fanfiction, she tells me it’s about par for the course, and not bad. but as you’re enjoying it, please keep in mind that if what you’re enjoying is the sex, there is better stuff out there to be had.
